Cemented carbide is a mixture produced by metal carbide powder and cobalt. Tungsten carbide, titanium carbide, tantalum carbide and vanadium carbide are usually use to improve the carbide properties, thus cemented carbide has high hardness and high wear resistance. Alloy is a kind of high-efficiency tool material. It is made up of the mixture of high-melting-point and high-hardness metal carbide powder and binder and then pressed into workpiece of various shapes by powder metallurgy method, therefore, to ensure that the cemented carbide has certain hardness, strength and toughness.


Carbide insert pin, also known as tungsten steel insert pin and hard alloy punching pin, is made up of hard alloy rods, with high precision, high hardness and good bending strength, suitable for hardware and electrical processing industry, generally used for punching on stamping dies to separate or plastically deform the material to obtain the required parts. Due to its advantages of high hardness, long service life, corrosion resistance and no rust, it is widely used in industrial machinery manufacturing and processing.


As a precision mold, the consistency for the carbide insert pin is a key factor, which will directly affect the life of the mold and the dimensional accuracy of the product. The ingredients are mixed thoroughly → pulverized → dried → sieved, then added to the forming agent → re-dried → sifted to obtain the mixture → pressing the mixed granulation → forming → low-pressure sintering → sintered blank → inspection (non-destructive ultrasonic testing) → blank dimensional accuracy inspection → EDM (or wire cutting) → rough grinding → fine grinding → polishing → inspection → marking → packaging. 2. Density (g/cm³): 14.0 ~ 14.5

3. Hardness: 89 ~ 92.0 HRA

4. Grain size: 0.6 ~ 1.2 um

5. Bending strength: 4000MPa

6. Modulus of elasticity (GPa): 490.

7. Thermal expansion coefficient 10-6/0C: 5.4.

8. The dimensions and specifications of the carbide insert pins are customized according to the drawings, and the precision requirements can be ±0.001.
